I feel like we as a society are growing apart from one another. We live in constant comparison with which other, feeling smaller and smaller. We should come together and help each other grow, become a better person, but instead we choose to be rivals. We could learn from one another, but we rather stay quiet in solitude with our thoughts that slowly consume us. Every morning we wake up to a fake reality created by appearances. We lie to preserve our image and identity, as if we were defined by what others think of ourselves. We are all playing roles, terrified of being ourselves. Nobody wants to be different or authentic. If you let others define you, how can you truly be yourself? Don’t ever give that power to other people. Stop limiting your potential by worrying what other people think. Your life will improve as soon as you stop resisting. Be yourself, be brave.
